MAC doesn't know he is old and 'ugly', he just knows that no one stops to look at him

He has spent the whole time just sleeping and trying not to move, hoping this will end soon. He is ready to go home so she can feel safe and loves. He needs help fast. the shelter is Filling up.

MAC is just a poor old chihuahua. Like our friend gregory last month, he doesn't know he is ugly. He just knows that no one stops to look at him. do you see him? He's 8 years old. He craves love.

I am a male, brown Chihuahua - Smooth Coated.
The shelter staff think I am about 8 years old.
I have been at the shelter since Jul 18, 2018.

Pretty sure this lil guy has microopthalmia (one or both yes are abnormally small and have anatomic malformations). It’s not life threatening but he is in the rescue needs building. Please share him! . adoptable, or donate for rescue & offer to foster.

    1. Both of you have the incorrect information & it's not going to help the little dude get out! The correct information is as listed above. In his report. And, he is on pet harbor, but if you call those numbers you have you will be in sad shape because he is at Riverside Shelter!

  4. I'll take him if no one steps up, but he's in California & I'm in VA. There are tons of rescues in California - especially for a small, adorable dog like this!💔

    1. Penny Brennan please take him
I'm in BC CANADA have 3 large dogs 4 cats a horse a rabbit I'm at the max of animals I can appropriately care for plus costs of getting him into Canada
if he passes quarantine stay health wise would be very expensive I not know anyone here that would or could take him
One of my first dogs as a child was a Chihuahua mix "Freckles" was her name my mom accidently ran her over & she died as she ran under the tire of the car as it was moving my mom not see her run under the car
If other circumstances I'd rescue him tnx

    1. Penny Brennan, Can you contact this rescue group to let them know that you might be interested in him. Perhaps they can pull him and help to arrange transport. I network at risk dogs for this shelter and it is a high intake/high kill shelter. It is doubtful that this special little guy will make it out alive without the help of some kind person intervening.

  8. Why say he is "ugly"???? He's not at all. Calling shelter animals ugly is not going to help them and, if anything, could be detrimental in some cases. Luckily, there are enough decent, intelligent, caring people who don't base everything on looks and perfection.
