17 and 18 year old dogs left at shelter! bonded seniors will take their final walk of life

Bogie and Abbey were dropped off at Cobb County Animal Services by their previous owner on July 18. These sweet seniors do not deserve to be in a shelter in their senior years, and they need to get out as soon as possible! Bogie is 17 years old and is a small boy at just 26 pounds.

Abbey is 18 years old and 26 pounds. The previous owner said they are GOOD WITH KIDS but did not leave any other information. The hard concrete floor of the shelter is no place for a sweet senior to try to rest.

Bogie and Abbey are waiting to meet you in kennel 77. Bogie's ID is 606700, and Abbey's ID is 606701. Shelter hours for Adoptions are: Tuesday - Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., CLOSED Mondays and Holidays.

    1. DO NOT EUTHANAISE THESE OLDER SENIORS. They deserve to be adopted as a pair together as soon as possible. These beautiful seniors have reached a very grand old age. Therefore RESPECT their EXISTENCE and do everything and more to settle these sweethearts in a stable human environ/home quickly away from the shelter where they lie on cold/hard concrete with little human contact. I am astounded that these dogs have lived to such an old age. Shame, shame, shame on the human race... on manKIND?

  3. Who is the direct contact person re: Bogie and Abbey ?? Might it be possible to get “a-hold” on them — per a local Rescue ?? Please.
Though, I am in CA, I want to the opportunity to reach-out to others, who could potentially provide for them the Love and Safety they truly need. Thank you...

  14. My biggest dream is to be allowed to come back as an avenging Angel giving "people" payback for the tortures and thoughtless lack of caring they have given out to everything from dogs n cats to elephants and zoo animals or animals slathered for their tusks.
