Frightened 3 month old chihuahua surrendered to kill shelter, openly wept as his owner walked away

At the high kill Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California, there is very little time to adjust the chaos, noise, and fast pace environment once you enter the facility. You are quite literally thrown into the fire, or rather a prison for dogs as I like to call it. All around you are the crushed hopes of dogs locked inside of their kennel staring back at you with the saddest eyes you will ever see.

Unfortunately, dogs are given just a few weeks, and sometimes even days to find forever families, before they are “put down humanely” by the Carson shelter in what they described as a “population control measurement” to free up “valuable” kennel space.

#A5167184 I'm an approximately 3 month old male Chihuahua. I am not yet neutered. I have been at the Carson Animal Care Center since 4/10. I will be available on 4/10. You can visit me at my temporary home at C215. My former family who owned me for had to give me up because they just weren't up for the responsibility of a pet.

  1. I want this baby. I really do.

    1. Are you going to try and get this poor baby??? There are people wanting to help you get this precious baby!!!

    2. Renee I called the day I saw this. This baby is no longer there. He was adopted. But I found out that this particular shelter has a huge problem with ppl dumping senior dogs that are chuiauas. That's heartbreaking for me. I adore seniors. I have one right now and she's my world. A sheltie tho. And I can't understand why people dump seniors. I think someone in California should step up and start rescuing the senior chiuauas and get them into the love they need. If I was there I would probably do that. In Texas it's the pits that they throw away.

  2. I live in Texas. And I bet no one can do a transport that far away. And then I would have to get permission from my ole man, a sheltie and a pit bull.

  3. We can help you with free transport. Please fill in an applicayion yo adppt or foster immediately. my friends Rose Latha and Karen Moore can help you. Contact them in Facebook or send your email id. with

  4. You can also email e can help

  5. PLEASE save this precious baby 💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝
