Nobody wants to take a chance on black little maisey because of the color of her coat

Some cultures believe that a dog or cat with a darker, black coat, is a superstitious omen that must be avoided at all costs. In America, and western cultures, in particular, there is a belief that is widely held that if a black cat crosses you, seven years of bad luck ensues, which of course couldn’t be further from the truth.
