Owner died, not one family member care for 15 years old faithful pup trapped in high kill shelter

After the heart breaking tragedy, COPPER owner died, brought the distraught pup to Carson Shelter, giving shelter staff a list of family contacts of the descendant they should call with the hopes of finding her a home.

Unfortunately for shelter staff, after a full day of sorting out the COPPER next to kin contacts, not one of them wanted to volunteer and rescue the pup from her now glib prospects. Sad indeed. Fidonation, thank goodness this pup has you.

COPPER is 15 and when her owner died she lost everything, even her home. She needs help fast, the shelter is filling up. Please SHARE for her life, she's SO special and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save her. Thanks!

#A5178031 My name is COPPER and I'm an approximately 15 year old female Pit Bull. I am already spayed. I have been at the Carson Animal Care Center since 5/12. I will be available on 5/12. You can visit me at my temporary home at C125. My former family who owned me for 15 year had to give me up because they passed away.

  1. Why is she labeled "pit bull"? She'd have a better chance with "Mixed Breed" listed. Looks part shepherd to me.
